This highly effective system of medical care is based on natural laws which govern the movement of vital life-giving energy, both in nature and in the body. This energy, called “Qi,” moves through the body along precise channels supporting the functions of body, mind, and spirit. When Qi moves disharmoniously, imbalance surfaces as specific symptoms. The gentle insertion of hair-thin needles at precise points along these channels helps restore harmony — symptoms often resolve, and patients frequently experience renewed vitality.
Sensations range from nothing at all to a brief ache or heaviness in the area being needled. Some points are more sensitive than others, but patients generally describe the sensation as fleeting and the treatment itself as deeply relaxing.
Many clients begin treatment seeking relief from a wide range of physical conditions. Others, who aren’t experiencing any ailment, come to maximise wellness and maintain balance. Absolutely not. Many clients come for regular treatments purely to feel better and enjoy life more fully. Acupuncture is also a powerful preventative measure, helping keep you healthy throughout the year.
Everyone is assessed individually — some conditions need longer courses than others. We usually suggest 3–5 sessions, though acute conditions can improve more quickly. Treatments typically begin weekly, then move to fortnightly as your response builds; chronic conditions may need top-ups every six weeks to three months. All needles are sterile, single-use, and disposed of immediately after each treatment.
